Shakey’s Gun Shop was established in 2006. The owner, Joshua Shamonsky, is a 2002 graduate of Nativity BVM High School. He worked with local gun shops throughout his teens and after graduation. In 2006, he decided to start his own gun shop to cater to the needs of local shooters and gun enthusiasts. Joshua has always had a love for guns even as a child. His goal is to educate the community about guns and gun safety. As for the name, Shakey was the nickname of Joshua’s late Uncle, who played a big role in his gun knowledge. Shakey’s welcomed the addition of Darren Gates as a sales associate in the beginning of 2010. Darren had been helping part-time in the past with internet sales and web design. His duties will now include sales, firearms transfers and other daily operations of the shop. |
