Shakey’s Gun Shop was established in 2006. The owner, Joshua Shamonsky, has always had a love of guns, even as a child. He worked with local gun shops throughout his teens. In 2006, he decided to start his own gun shop to cater to the needs of local shooters and gun enthusiasts. His goal is to educate the community about guns and gun safety. Within the next few years, Joshua plans on expanding his dream. He is looking forward to opening a newer and bigger facility which will also hold an indoor gun range. In January 2010, Shakey’s welcomed the addition of Darren Gates and Anne Shamonsky. Darren and Anne are both full-time employees that have the same aspirations and goals for Shakey’s as Joshua. Darren is an integral part of the operations at Shakey’s. Darren handles all daily operations of the shop including web design, sales, transfers, trades and purchases. Anne is also a key employee handling daily shop operations including advertising, sales, transfers, trades and purchases. In August of 2010 Joshua’s sister, Tara Gates , has taken the role of personal assistant. She volunteers her time and fills in wherever she is needed. She is responsible for finances and daily shop operations. |
